Funds generated by our hotel go directly back into servicing the community and providing necessary facilities to improve the health and well being of our local people. We are in the process of developing the “Blue Soul Project” where you can come and stay, surf, play and join in one one of our community projects. If you are interested in being a part of any future project or have one that you think we might be interested in please fill out our enquiry form on the contact page and let us know how we can help you and you can help our community at large

our achievements to date

-     Our most near and dear accomplishment and one of our first was to design, fund, build and stock the local High School and an elementary school in another village. With this we have provided the opportunity for countless local children to not only gain an education but to have an opportunity to make a future for themselves.

-     Alma Azul has supplied children with school stationary, clothing and the educational tools to provide a world standard of education for the future generations of our local community.

-     We provide funding for every student who attends our local high school who graduates with a full scholarship program to the local university which is focussed on tourism and can provide them with the educational tools needed to have career within their community and not have to travel far and wide to receive higher learning.

-     Established a support network with the “Surf for Life” program which supplies international volunteers to assist with our community projects.

-     Built a bridge which was destroyed during the civil war so that children could easily access the school and community members could easily travel to the neighbouring region.

-     Developed a water treatment facility to a community where children as young as 3 were having to have kidney and liver  transplants due to the only source of fresh water available being contaminated with heavy metals such as Lead, Zinc and arsenic. Now 5,000 individuals now have enough fresh water to live prosperity.

-     Developed a school cafeteria which supplies healthy food to the children.

-     Developed a computer room to further benefit the learning process of local kids and connect them to the world.

-     Developed a music, sports and creative space for children to excel in their desired fields of interest

-     Established a turtle nesting and monitoring program

-     Providing bridging programs to connect volunteers from other countries to engage in curriculum activities and cultural programs to broaden the local students knowledge of other cultures, traditions, people and languages
